Live Oak’s 1st ever Pep Rally was held this morning under beautiful sunny fall skies in their parking lot. Colin has really enjoyed playing football this fall and has proven again and again that he’s pretty good. He’s also proven again and again that he is very capable of hurting himself! Let’s see to recap…there’s been the sprained knee, high ankle sprain, and a dislocated shoulder…twice! Yes, he’s scheduled for an MRI on Monday to see if surgery is necessary for any repair of torn or over stretched ligaments or tendons or whatever it is that holds your shoulder to the rest of your skeleton. Suffice it to say that while he still attends practices and will be cheering from the sidelines, he will not be playing tomorrow or next week in the final game. (Boo Hoo!!) Did I say that six-man football is brutal?… It IS! Still, in his last game, he made a conversion, had several great tackles, made a touchdown, and saved the opponents from scoring a touchdown, that’s the one that caused his shoulder to dislocate a second time, but if you ask him, he’d say it was worth it…well, sort of! Anyway, have a wonderful and blessed weekend!
