Cotton Candy Christmas Layout

Now that Christmas has come and gone, it’s time to put some of those pictures in a layout right?!? What to do…why not look at this Christmas in a unique exciting color theme! Remember Cotton candy as a kid? How sugary and sticky and PINK it was? Even though the main color was usually basically pink there was always an array of soft lovely colors interwoven within the sugary strands of crystals, and that’s what we have in this layout…interwoven lucious colors of pinks, complemented by So Saffron set on a bold background of Old Olive and Certainly Celery. The DSP I used is from the beautiful Georgia Peach collection. And, I just love using my Large Star Punch to add a 3-D touch with our Designer Hardware. “A Christmas Wish” is from the Home for Christmas Stamp Set from the Holiday Mini Catalog which runs through January 18th.

This layout is quite versatile too, you have a large space for portrait pics or you can fill up your white canvas with multiple pictures of various sizes, as I have chosen.

In one two-page spread I have hit the highlights of our Holiday Trip to Disney World…using 18 pictures ranging in size from 4×6 to a 1 1/4″ square…now that’s what I call “Optimizing Space”!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I simply can’t believe it’s been a whole two months since I’ve posted…that’ll be NYR #1, Post at LEAST weekly! Let me quickly bring you up to date…our Colin had his shoulder surgery Nov. 14th and couldn’t drive for weeks so mom was back on chauffeuring duty and while private tutoring has been a wonderful addition to our Home School experience this year, with his injuries and subsequent surgery it has been pretty taxing on my discretionary time for creative endeavors. The first week he was able to drive, a little, (that was the first week of December) he hit a deer with our car he is able to drive so that again knocked him out of driving to tutoring and extra-curricular activities like supporting his pals at Live Oak doing basketball etc. Let’s just say that Colin and I are happy to put 2008 behind us!

We were so blessed to get all our son’s together for Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World in Florida. Addison, U of Ark Sophomore in Landscape Architecture(3rd from left)came in from Fayetteville AR, Jack (29yo) first on left, works at Dish Network facilities in Spartanburg, SC, Brandon (22yo) 2nd on left, Team Roper and getting ready for Hill Jr College again in January to continue with his Welding Certification, and Colin kneeling in front (minus sling!!) is a H.S. Junior. What a blessing we have in these young men!

I hope your holiday season has been a very blessed one and that 2009 will bring you good fortune and many opportunities to praise our loving and gracious Lord, He has certainly showered us with his mercies this year!

Happy New Year!
