With Sympathy. . .

2009-fifth-avenue-sympathyBecause of God’s merciful grace to us we’ve never personally experienced the loss of a child…but I needed this card for the daughter of my Step Mom whose 28yo son committed suicide a while back. We are in the midst of a national tragedy of young men committing suicide and it continues to go unheralded. And as the mother to four young men, this recent death, is another reminder to be ever vigilant in watching for signs of trouble. That, and to be constantly before the throne of the Almighty asking for his continued protection and to be their Jehovah-shammah (The LORD is There). To walk them through the darkness guiding them to the light.

This card was CASED from fellow SU demonstrator Nancy Morgan and I loved it so much I didn’t change a thing other than not having the “Praying for You” stamp, (I used a computer font on Whisper White Cardstock.) I also applied Crystal Effects to several of the rose petals and the stamen of the lilly.

Hope you have a blessed weekend! Thanks for stoppying by. Katherine

  1. I wish we never had to make a sympathy card, but this one is just
beautiful and the simplicity say so much. I have a friend who’s daughter
is no longer a Breast Cancer Survivor, but is now expected to die this month.
She is 37 and has two young children. I will have to make a card soon, and
I feel such a deep grief. Thanks for sharing your life and your talent
    with us all.
