I have just loved this small western flower in the True Friend Stamp Set and have enjoyed using it again and again. I needed a quick card for one of my son’s girl friends and her favorite colors are teal and brown so I put this together for her the other day. The En Francais is another one of those very versatile background stamps that are great to have on hand especially when doing a bohemian type of card like this one.
Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White
Stamp Sets: Short and Sweet, En Francais and True FriendEmbellishments: 3/8″ Twill Tape, Stampin Dimensional, and Distressing tool from the Cutter Kit.
I took the small piece of Chocolate Chip card stock and crumpled it tightly into a tiny ball to give it an all over wrinkled, prune effect…then un did it and finger pressed it flat. I used the distressing tool on the Tempting Turquoise card stock and highlighted the edges with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink using one of the large sponges.
This is a wonderful template that is appropriate for many different cards and I’d recommend you keep it in your reference file.

Because of God’s merciful grace to us we’ve never personally experienced the loss of a child…but I needed this card for the daughter of my Step Mom whose 28yo son committed suicide a while back. We are in the midst of a national tragedy of young men committing suicide and it continues to go unheralded. And as the mother to four young men, this recent death, is another reminder to be ever vigilant in watching for signs of trouble. That, and to be constantly before the throne of the Almighty asking for his continued protection and to be their Jehovah-shammah (The LORD is There). To walk them through the darkness guiding them to the light.
