This summer is an explosion in the Pritchard family with three of our nieces and nephews having babies! Also, we have two staff ladies at Larry’s office who are having babies so it’s going to be a beautiful, ”babiful” summer!
I’ve put together a sweet card for the new arrivals:
To get started I used a tent fold card in Certainly Celery paired with a piece of the multi-colored stripe from the Tea Party Designer Series Paper. Tie a knot across the front with a length of the lovely 5/8″ Certainly Celery Grosgrain ribbon.
The medallion is built by layering the scallop circle from the BIG SHOT Stampin’ UP! Pennant bigz xl die in So Saffron; a Pretty in Pink scallop circle. Layered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The zebra image is from the lighthearted Zoofari Stamp Set ( that is about to be retired and no longer available as of July 1st). I used the SU Watercolor Pencils to color in the zebra to coordinate with the colors in the striped Designer Series Paper.
The verse is from the sweet little set Family Phrases that is so versatile.
Both the zebra and verse are stamped with Going Gray Classic Ink to compliment the softness of the colors used in the overall scheme of the card.
Then using the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch I added him to the medallion.
A medallion card is a quick easy template that you’re sure to want to keep at hand. It’s cute and fun to put together and is ready in minutes. It’s also a great way to use up any of those left over scraps from your other projects. You know, those one’s you can’t seem to put in the trash can because they’re just so darned pretty!?!? Yes, I have a good sized box full of scraps, (actually several) OK. . .I’m gulity as anyone! Don’t get me started there
