Stampin’ UP! For You

This weekend’s guests at My Bluebonnet Cottage were greeted with  a little something to make their visit memorable.

I bought some Bluebonnet Seeds to give them as a memento of their weekend at the cottage.

Bluebonnets are a hardy perennial in Central Texas, not to mention the intoxicating fragrance they produce during late March, April, or May when the roadsides are full of them

I created this flowering sleeve to give them their own bloom!

Once again, I was lucky enough to use scrap pieces of Stampin’ UP! Designer Series Paper for the sleeves.  I just love using my scraps, it makes me feel so frugal!  The Medallion was created using one of my favorite sets, the  Stampin’ UP! Dreams du Jour Stamp Set, 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog page 101 $18.95.  The small ‘For You’ tag is from the Stampin’ UP! Elements of Style Stamp Set, also a favorite, found in the  2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog page 133 and is available in traditional wood-mount ($27.95) or  clear-mount ($19.95).

To create the medallion you will need  two images stamped in Classic Black, and another in Marina Mist.  I used an Aqua Painter and ink refills to color in the bouquet.  Then punched out the main image with a 1 – 3/4″  Extra-Large Circle punch.  Cut out the large bloom and set it with a Stampin’ Dimensional, cut out ‘Dreams from the Marina Mist image and set it with your Stampin’ UP! Snail Adhesive.’  I placed the medallion on a2 – 3/8″ Extra-Large Scallop Circle in Regal Rose.

The sleeves went together quick and easy, that’s what I like about our Stampin’ UP! products. They do all the work developing our wonderful products, we get to have all the FUN!

You can create these fun sleeves for party favors, to table decorations for lots of events and with various products.  From weddings, or birthdays,  to baptismal celebrations, whatever your next event you’re planning is,  keep these easy colorful  decorative sleeves in mind.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today, and I hope the coming week fulfills all your expectations!

Blessings,

Katherine
