Stampin’ UP Tea House Wedding Shower

Final posting for Stampin’ UP! Tea House Wedding Shower:

The morning arrived and to bless our gathering the power went out at 7 a.m.! (It didn’t return until 1:30 p.m.) You can only imagine my angst.  We really didn’t miss a beat though, thanks to the artful help of my niece Jessica and good friend Renee’ who prepared the food.

They used the pancake griddle on the gas cook stove to toast the crostini and warm the quiches under a tent of tinfoil.  That was the only two items that needed finishing up that morning.

Our guests enjoyed:  Baby Shrimp topped cucumber rounds, Caprese Skewers with Fresh Basil,  Mini Bacon & Crimini Mushroom Quiche, Ham Salad on Crostini, Mascarpone stuffed strawberries, Granny Pritchard’s Lemon Bars with Raspberry Puree, Cheesecake & Blueberry Shots, Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies with Chocolate Ganache.  Suffice it to say that no one left hungry!

Guests were greeted with fresh flowers, lovely tea sets, and Stampin’ UP! Tea Shoppe favor bags.

The Favor bags were fun to put together.  They included 2 Tazo Rest Herbal Infusion Tea bags.  A scrumptious tea blend of lemon balm, Rose petals, Honeybush, orange peel, lemon myrtle, lavender, that brews up the most heavenly calming cup of tea.  Two Godiva Chocolate Truffles, and a sweet little Stampin’ UP! Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper notebook for your purse.

I know this is getting quite lengthy, so I will end with a thank you for letting me share the happiness of this wonderful event with you.  I hope it will inspire you to consider the possibilities of entertaining and allowing the wonderful Stampin’ UP! products to help make your event a success!

Almost forgot…here is our sweet bride with the mother of the groom on the left, me, and her mom Beth on the right.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful week!

Stampin’ UP Mr. & Mrs. Banner

Stampin’ UP! Tea House Shower Post cont’d…

What a lovely way to welcome the bride to be:

Though the Stampin’ UP! Big Shot Bigz XL Pennant die is retired,  it’s one I reach for on these special occasions.  Add a bit of antique lace, mini clothespins, and let the FUN begin!

What makes a good banner better?  . . . It’s all about the little touches.  Like the pansy duo image from the Stampin’ UP! Tea Shoppe Stamp Set.  A beautiful whopping 10 piece set that was introduced with the 2012 Occasions Mini and has managed to make it into the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog.  You can see another post using the tea cup trio image here.

Other elements used in making the banner:

Big Shot Sticky Sheets, Dazzling Diamonds, Big Shot Scallop Circle Die, Big Shot Serif Essentials Alphabet, Large Sizzlits Die Paper Doily, 1/4″ Hole Punch.

Stay tuned for the next installment of the Stampin’ UP! Tea House Wedding Shower.

Stampin’ UP! Tea House Shower

This week I have several related posts to share with you about a recent event I hosted at my home for one of my dear friends who just happens to be one of my downline!  It all started with the invitation…

I selected the Stampin’ UP! Tea Shoppe as the focal point of the invitation and for the event, a mid morning tea wedding shower.  Lots of elements and dimension make the invitation warm and inviting.  The Stampin’ UP! exclusive Framelits Label die element is stamped with Versa Mark Ink using the En Francais’ text background stamp for interest.  The Stampin’ UP! Big Shot Vintage Wallpaper embossed panel is distressed with the Stampin’ UP! Distressing Kit Tea Stain ink.

A cinched ribbon banner anchors the left side.

I used a sucker stick to tighten the scroll end and the small square punch to easily create the flag.

The tea cup image was colored with Q-tips and then I added some Dazzling Diamonds for sparkle!

Credit goes to fellow SU Demo Julie Edmonds whose original card is here!

Thanks for stopping by and Hope you have a fantastic week!

Stampin’ UP! Opens the Window!

Window Cards are all the rage these days.  I’ll bet you’d be surprised to find out how easy they are to create!  IF you have the right tools, of course.

The Stampin’ UP! Blossom Punch is the right choice for these great Love Notes.  Measuring 3 x 3 they are quick and easy to slip into any gift or package.

Their matching little envelopes are so stinkin’ cute.  Thanks to the new Simply Scored Diagonal Plate they’re just as easy to make!

Mark the center of the Love Notes by measuring 1 1/2″ from top & side, don’t worry about the mark because it’s going to be punched out!  Line up the points on the center of the Blossom Punch with the center you measured and punch! Put a Stampin’ Dimensional on all four corners of a scrap of your favorite Designer Series Paper that is 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″. With the Love Note open center the Designer Series Paper with the dimensionals facing upward and gently close the front over it.  Voila!  Decorate with your favorite flower punch or add a Stampin’ UP! coordinating button with a Stampin’ UP! glue dot.

We had a great time at our Stampin’ FUN Class this week.  Participants also made one of the Pink, Pink, PINK! cards posted earlier.  You should join us next month on Tuesday April 17th, at 9:30a.m. or 6:30p.m. to satisfy your creative urges!  Call or email to reserve your spot.  (Class is FREE with a $15.00 order.)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Stampin’ UP! Leadership Shares

I am so excited I can hardly sleep tonight!( I’m writing this Monday evening to post for Wednesday after we’ve had our goodie exchange.)

I’m all packed and ready to travel down to San Antonio, TX for my first trip to Stampin UP! Leadership Conference.  WOO HOO! Here we go…

I created these CD Calendars for my Stampin UP Convention Peeps:

The calendar is displayed in an Ultra thin clear CD case that you can pick-up just about anywhere. It is too thin to store the extra pages so you have to keep them tucked away nearby.  The alternative was a larger case, but they do not ‘hyper extend’ and your calendar is not as nice to look at sticking straight up at attention!

I love using My Digital Studio for these projects. It’s so flexible and the finished result is very professional looking.

You have the option of printing on a variety of mediums when you have decent printer.  I bought an HP 7500A Extra Wide printer on Black Friday after Thanksgiving.  An early Christmas present to myself.  I can print 12 x 12 scrapbook pages as well as print to it from in iPad2.  It was a great buy and I highly recommend it if you’re in the market for one.

I used HP Glossy Brochure paper for these and printed two to a page all the way to the edge with the advanced settings in My Digital Studio.

The pages measure 4 3/4  x  5.

I can’t to share all the exciting things we’ll be enjoying at Leadership so check back with me this weekend.

See you then! Katherine
