TROPICAL STAMPIN’ UP!

After the ‘tropical rainfall’ express that flew through Central Texas yesterday, I simply had to brighten my day this morning!

 

I will surely be the saddest paper crafter of all IF… Stampin’ UP! discontinues their First Edition Specialty Designer Series paper  when the 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog is launched June 1. (I’m keeping my fingers crossed though that it is carried over)

And here once again, I have taken the liberty of C.A.S.E. ing a lovely card previously seen on Andrea Walford’s website and ‘marrying’ it with another from the same website…does that mean it’s almost an original???hmmm….have to think about that one!  I don’t care, I just love the result!

 

The color in the First Edition flower was created by sponging the Island Floral Big Shot Die Cuts  with Stampin’ UP! Classic Ink in Melon Mambo and then overlaying it with Pumpkin Pie.  A final spritz of Gold Glow Smooch Spritz gives it added depth. Background leaves were sponged with Old Olive followed by a light smudge of Pacific Point.  The flower was assembled using a Stampin’ UP! Glimmer Brad.

A bit of Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon and Pear Pizzazz Stitched Poly Ribbon give the finishing touches to this project.

Stampin’ UP! Weddings are SWEET!

When it comes to creating an amazing wedding card, it’s just hard to beat Stampin’ UP!…

Since Stampin’ UP! entered the paper crafting market they have been known for their excellent punches.  This beautiful wedding card features one of my favorite; the Large Lace Ribbon Punch.

For dramatic emphasis the punch panel is layered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The creamy smooth white of the Stampin’ UP! Whisper White Card Stock is the best on the market and voted so year after year in survey after survey of crafters all over.

Did you notice the awesome Stampin’ UP! Trinket Hearts? They are absolutely the sweetest little hardware and PERFECT for a wedding card!  A final touch by the addition of the sparkly Stampin’ UP! Rhinestone Jewels and my card is ready for a lovely handwritten congratulatory note!

I hope you have enjoyed this beautiful hand created Stampin’ UP! wedding card.  Everyone loves to be remembered. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, thinking of you, a get well wish, or whatever the occasion happens to be.  But to be remembered AND know that you have given the gift of your time, talents, and energy to create something unique and special means so much more to the receiver.  It really means you care!

Pink, Pink PINK! Stampin’ UP!

I was inspired this week by PINK!  Now, mind you, I have nothing against PINK!, it’s just that I naturally seem to gravitate toward bolder colors, but I’ve literally been in a fever pitch until I completed these oh-so simple All Occasion Cards. . .

Once again, I’m excited about how fabulously Stampin’ UP! coordinates products. Earlier this week, I talked with a gal who’d tried her hand at paper crafting several years ago and was so frustrated with trying to ‘match’ different products up that she walked away from it… “I’m not a stay-at-home mom, and I spent so much time getting nowhere; I finally decided it’s just too hard!”  . . .  I showed her how easy it is with Stampin’ UP! products.

 

Stampin’ UP! employs some of the most talented graphic artists in the country…why should I spend my precious time re-inventing the wheel (…a.k.a…card, scrapbook page, 3D project, or embellishment)?  That makes no sense to this busy wife, mom, and entrepreneur!   When my sweet DH tells me at 7:00am that he needs two birthday cards today…I don’t have time to go through all the design process and come up with a final product…I’ve got to be able to ‘pull-it-together’ quickly, smartly, and produce something that when presented achieves the ‘Aaahhh’ or the ‘Wow’ factor!  I want it to be personal for the receiver.
