Stampin’ UP! Leadership Shares

I am so excited I can hardly sleep tonight!( I’m writing this Monday evening to post for Wednesday after we’ve had our goodie exchange.)

I’m all packed and ready to travel down to San Antonio, TX for my first trip to Stampin UP! Leadership Conference.  WOO HOO! Here we go…

I created these CD Calendars for my Stampin UP Convention Peeps:

The calendar is displayed in an Ultra thin clear CD case that you can pick-up just about anywhere. It is too thin to store the extra pages so you have to keep them tucked away nearby.  The alternative was a larger case, but they do not ‘hyper extend’ and your calendar is not as nice to look at sticking straight up at attention!

I love using My Digital Studio for these projects. It’s so flexible and the finished result is very professional looking.

You have the option of printing on a variety of mediums when you have decent printer.  I bought an HP 7500A Extra Wide printer on Black Friday after Thanksgiving.  An early Christmas present to myself.  I can print 12 x 12 scrapbook pages as well as print to it from in iPad2.  It was a great buy and I highly recommend it if you’re in the market for one.

I used HP Glossy Brochure paper for these and printed two to a page all the way to the edge with the advanced settings in My Digital Studio.

The pages measure 4 3/4  x  5.

I can’t to share all the exciting things we’ll be enjoying at Leadership so check back with me this weekend.

See you then! Katherine

Celebrating Babies with Stampin’ UP!

Pressed for time? Nothing beats the clock like a Hybrid card created with Stampin’ UP!’s My Digital Studio!

It’s so easy to create cards using Stampin’ UP!’s My Digital Studio suite and once you have printed your project you can add those little extra touches like the bright green ribbon on this Baby Shower Invitation that give your creation a personal touch.

Stamp Set used is the  Nursery Necessities Digital Stamp Set.

With My Digital Studio you can still use all those beautiful colors that have been retired, like the Brocade Blue I chose for the background here.  It makes a perfect team with the Green Galore, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White.  Traditionally designers say that it is important to use three colors on a project, but I have found that sometimes you can get away with more…especially if it is an odd number!  They really work together well on this project and without the addition of the Daffodil Delight and the Green Galore the project didn’t have that ‘pop’ that I always try to achieve!

The thousands of stamped images in My Digital Studio suite allow you to customize the size, color, and even change direction of the images.  Once I had the template created, I grouped all the elements together, allowing me to copy the entire project, and paste it twice on a blank landscape multi-output document.  This allowed me to print it out two to a page on my favorite Glossy Cardstock!  Cut it out, adhere the ribbon, and adhere it to a standard 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ Daffodil Delight card. It’s actually quite a simple process, and when you are pressed for time yet still want to have that unique one-of-a-kind creation, it’s the perfect solution!

The inside details were stamped and completed with the where, when, and other details before sending them on their way!

I hope you find time to create something this week!  Thanks for stopping by!

Using your Stampin’ UP! My Digital Studio for more than scrapbooking!

Thanks for stopping by today because I wanted to share with you a project that I created last week for my hubby’s oral surgery practice.

With the exit of our marketing gal at the beginning of the summer I have been called upon to “pull-up-the-slack” so to speak.  (I keep telling Larry & the gals that “I am NOT (emphasis on NOT) the marketing person”…Don’t ask me!  Yet, time and again here I am.  As a way to get our new doc into the referral offices around town I decided to give him a little gift of goodies to deliver to get him in the door!  I further personalized it by adding a custom photo label to the jar lid.

Originally, I had envisioned using a CD label, but they were too large for the 4 1/4″ diameter of the lid.  I chose to use a full sheet 8 1/2 x 11 label, getting two photo labels out of each one.

Using my Stampin’ UP! Circle Scissors Plus to quickly and effortlessly cut the desired label circles.

You can see through the guide so there’s no guess work when cutting.

I was able to put together 99 decorated jars for Dr. Beck to deliver in just one afternoon; thanks to the helping hands of two very capable teens (i.e. Colin & his sweetie Katie) who tied ribbons for me while I cut and pasted the photo stickers!

We enjoyed one of those great ‘together’ moments that afternoon and using Stampin’ UP! My Digital Studio to create the custom photo stickers was a fabulous idea.  Now imagine yourself needing gifts for the holiday’s and you want to personalize them, but you’re crunched for time…or maybe it’s the end-of-year school party and you have party favors to come up with…a wedding anniversary party or a birthday celebration whatever the occasion there might just be a chance that  using  Stampin’ UP! My Digital Studio could help make your next event more celebratory and personal.

Stampin’ UP! gives you the ease and flexibility to shop on-line 24/7 or you can call or email me and I’ll help you with your next creative endeavor!

Thanks again for taking a look at my blog, I appreciate your support it helps to keep those creative juices flowing!

Stampin’ UP! My Digital Studio does so much more!

A week ago I delivered a copy of Stampin’ UP!’s My Digital Studio creative suite to an avid scrapbooking dear friend of mine.  I spent about an hour introducing her to it and showing her some shortcuts,  and ins and outs that I’ve picked up to help her get started and turned her loose!  I absolutely love, LOVE how easy the Stampin’ UP! My Digital Studio is and I was really excited to get to share it with her.

Sue  C. called me the NEXT DAY and left a voice message on my cell phone:  “Katherine, I’m so sorry that you’re not there to answer your phone, because if you were, you could hear the excitement in my voice.  I love this program!  It’s the easiest thing I’ve ever seen and you know I’ve used several others.  I want to get three more copies of it for my two daughters-in-law and one for Lacey too.  Please give me a call when you can.” . . . FOR REAL! I was elated!

Sue C. is like me, neither one of us would ever consider ourselves ‘computer savvy’ or computer geeks.  We like things simple and straightforward.  Fellow homeschooling moms for more years than we can count, we’re really creative gals so we get along nicely around most creative venues.  She  had gone home that afternoon and played with her program and discovered what all My Digital Studio has to offer.  Literally hundreds of stamps with the ability to re-size them,  all the fabulous color choices from the Stampin’ UP! color ensembles and the ability to match other colors to expand the color palate;  all the marvelous designer series papers, scrapbook templates, embellishments, to just click and drag into place, punches, and so, so easy to select and add pictures. . .ALL coordinating with the wonderful  Stampin’ UP!’ products.  I’m pretty sure she even said that she’d created 5 or 6   12 x 12   scrapbook pages while at it.

How wonderful I felt to, once again, “Share what you love”! It’s what we call the “WOW” factor. Stampin’ UP! may not have been the FIRST on the scene when it came to creative digital programs, but  let me tell you ladies, they certainly have the BEST! At a very modest price tag of only $79.95 it can’t be beat.

We’ve hit that mid point in summer and I hope yours is going as planned, or well,  maybe at least as good as you expected!  I’m off to Salt Lake City for the annual STAMPIN’ UP! CONVENTION week so picture me with a HUGE smile on my face most of the time!  Have a good week and keep those creative juices flowing…Katherine

Blue Dog & Friends

Some people believe you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. . .well I am here to tell you that YES you can!

I recently enjoyed playing with Stampin’ UP!’s My Digital Studio and learned a thing or two…or three!

Instead of using one of the Designer Templates, I created this whimsical card from scratch.  Adding background papers, coloring stamps, and characterizing the animal stamps from the  Good Friend Stamp Set template by adding, eyes, a nose, and tongues to the dogs and from the Cheep Talk Stamp Set a red bird with a black wing.   I also created the cloud using a three squished heart punch images and turning them this way and that.  I even added a double stamped image to the fire hydrant for added visual effect.

I love Stampin’ UP!’s My Digital Studio for it’s  simplicity and ease of understanding.  Believe me,  I am not a person that you would consider ‘computer savvy’, and yes, even I can do this!  But all the credit goes to Stampin’ UP! and this wonderful product in My Digital Studio.

I’m currently training to earn my certification for Stampin’ UP!’s My Digital Studio so that I will be better equipped to help my customers with their digitally created projects.

If you haven’t yet considered purchasing Stampin’ UP!’s My Digital Studio, remember Mother’s Day is just around the corner.
